Superb piece Troosha
there are so many ways for us to communicate; you have captured it so well, as always, here - the picture too a perfect complement; many blessings and thanks (also for your comment on my last post, perhaps your next one should be on perception? - many thanks)

Bravo!!!
I love this - both the quote and the poem (so intensely perceptive and brilliantly phrased)

And isn't this the truth Troosha - so aptly captured.

... and spread by word of mouth it gets distorted along the way. Outstanding. GBS is my all-time favourite!!!

That's great.  So true and so well written.  The quote is perfect.

Interesting...I think the poem that I just posted is wandering down this same sort of path.  Exceptionally described, I like the photograph you chose to accompany it.

Troosha, I'm not sure at times which is harder to do - catch a thought or
catch a javelin..depending on the thought, it can be elusive or right on target, and sting upon arrival, or just slip right through our hands.....

Said so well - often I try with all my might and my words still fall flat!

Great imagery in this poem! Love how the close unifies the poem! sam

I am good at not understanding, my mind thinks differently

Troosha.
That picture of the woman throwing the javelin with all the strength she can muster is so apt. I often find myself trying to communicate something and it falls flat even before I've finished the sentence.

So true - especially for all who preach sermons!!

Great use of words!

Visuals...
of course my mind would create them from your words but an additional one is always good. In poetry image is everything and you get to immerse yourself from start to finish in this wonderful scribe.

Communication resides in the ears of the receiver and often we hear selectively! Your wisdom and observation are keen and keenly appreciated !

GREAT REMINDER.WE SWITCH OFF THE TV, GO OUT TO SUPPER
JUST WE TOO, SIT ON THE DECK AND DRINK COFFEE. ALL SORTS OF WAYS TO COMMUNICATE.....THEN THERE ARE THE SPECIAL NON VOCAL COMMUNICATIONS WE SEND TO EACH OTHER. WISH I COULD COMMUNICATE AS WELL WITH MY KIDS.
