I know from my own experience-how frightening-sad and lonely it can be
at night-on a hospital ward Sinome and your poem reminded me-completely-of my last stay in one! Beautifully written! Chris.

Welcome back, my dear
What a beautiful and tragic perception of the hospital to mark your return with! I missed you.

The essence of your ordeal is conveyed so completely here. I hope you're feeling better, it's a pleasure to read your wonderful poetry again! I especially liked the line "that which we don't know and just feel".

a hospital ward at night can be very intimidating..one of our residents was
recently hospitalized for about a week, and I sat with him on one 11p.m.-7a.m. shift (our hospitals are so short-staffed, they appreciated us being with W. 24/7
...I don't mean to make light of it, but W. wasn't the only one hallucinating or hearing things that night...I was so happy to see 7a.m. roll around...Sinome, you've captured the feeling so well..

You most certainly captured the noisy silence of a hospital at night…You drew me in completely and I was taken back to a time when that might have been me listening to the sounds and soundless. Great write! Hope you're healing up nicely from your surgery....

It will be so nice when you are back before your own window gazing out over the horizon of all the familiar, living and loving family and friends. We are praying for you.

I've been there, both as a patient and as a nurse. You describe it so well.
