Re: ash_pradhan - I wish you luck with your upcoming book release
Gome, I just approved the final galleys, the book could come out as early as Oct, I'm excited :)! Have you considered writing one yourself? It's an amazingly gratifying experience, and I wish you success if you do. Stay in touch when you can. Best wishes,

Thank you very much, Gome! Hey, and some of us need to be reminded once in a while that the civilized world is watching us, you know what I mean, hahaha, take care! - Ash

ash_pradhan - I wish you luck with your upcoming book release
As for stopping in here occassionally etc; though an intriguing idea, it is simply not practical at this time . . . though I have learned to never say never.

Re: Re: i wish you'd change your mind
Gome, you could still stop in once in a while to give some well-deserved thrashing, and present some reasoned dialogue, as needed. But I do agree that expanding one's own horizons is a better use of one's time, and I do wish you the best in that. Btw, my book "Cosmic Reflections", about life on our Planet Earth, will come out in a couple of months. I believe, though poetry is not your thing, the messages I weave in there may interest you.

Gomedome, I'm sad to see you go, but I understand the reasons for your departure.  I wish you well in everything you do.  Believe it or not, you'll be missed.

Re: i wish you'd change your mind

Xeno-x - it is not as much a matter of changing my mind as it is one of facing reality. My interests lie elsewhere and I have become bored with blogging in a format such as this.

I don't have much of an interest in poetry, few people here share my interests in web coding and religious discussions have long ago become dominated by evangelical American Christians praising their version of God.

Discussion of world events or politics is for the most part futile around here. Though I do know what you mean when you say as much; I won't miss the fundies. Typical of all communities where their numbers fester like a debilitating social plague, they are the worst citizens. Devoid of any consideration for others, lacking even a rudimentary sense of social propriety, to read and comment on their blogs does nothing more than validate their driveling and twisted world views.

Besides, most of them aren't speaking to me anyways. . . . a quit while I'm ahead scenario if I ever saw one.

i wish you'd change your mind
you're going to mass all the fundies here and what they have to say

and I am going to miss your astute observations.

and this place needs more voices of reason for those newbies who come on looking for such.

Gomedome

You were at the top of a very short list of people who blogs I enjoyed reading. There haven't been many reasons for me to come back to Blogit over the last couple of years; but your posts, your ability to handle a discussion properly, and your insight and intelligence was one of them.

Good luck in all you do!

I wish you well in whatever you do. May you be successful in all your ways. I learned from you too. You had a long run, longer than most on here, even longer than most on Broadway! Break a leg in your new opening somewhere!

I appreciate your honesty.  I can see and feel your sincerity.  I am coming to hate "religion" more and more., but I assure you there is a God that is bigger than anyone or thing.  Not big as in size, but in awesomeness.  If He does reveal Himself to you in a REAL way, let me know. Goodbye.

Goodby and good luck. It has been fun to read your blog and your art work

is brilliant. I read your last blog some what sadly; I admire your honesty and the way you have always remained true to who you are and what you do or do not believe. Faith is such an abstract whisp of glimpsing the truth. It can'tbe passed along. Either it's there or it isn't. A bit like when you are writing and a character reveals who they are to you. A shadow moves, the curtain lifts so briefly but from that moment on your character breathes, is alive. For me that is the essence of faith. A glimpse of truth that feeds the soul for the rest of the persons life....there are doubts and fears and sometimes down right disbelief, but once faith is there, it never quite leaves.

I hope that one day you come back to blogit for you will most certainly be missed around here. Kabu.

I guess no-one changes except in the face of insurmountable evidence! I am the same, too! Best of luck!

Gome...
Recognizing that there exists a power "greater than all of us", as you aptly put it, no matter what someone calls it, or how someone eventually comes to that realization, brings humility to the human ego, that believes it is the greatest thing ever created, and worse yet wastes many lifetimes trying to prove that. Best wishes my friend!

Good bye and good luck!
I hate saying good bye to people!

Since joining Blogit your blog has been one of my regular ports of call, not because I have always agreed with you, but because you call a spade a spade.

Best wishes to you!
