Still a star...

"I am but a faint speck in astral dust" love that line and it keeps us humble

if we see ourselves this way and yet it doesn't belittle us.

When I was a child, I read Heidi quite often.  The thing I loved the most was her little bed made of hay in the loft under the window where she could look out and see the starry sky.

Night sky
This poem takes me back to when I used to climb out of my bedroom window and sit on the extension roof with my telescope at night! (Dad wasn't impressed! lol ). Very thought provoking

Sam

You make gazing into the night sky – pondering and searching – sound like a magnificent journey.

How beautiful the night sky is Shelly!
Sometimes I switch off all the lights and go on to the balcony sit and stare up at the stars but their shine is sometimes lost to the street lights! A superb write my friend; many blessings and thanks

I love to view the night sky love. In fact I wrote an article for the college newspaper. I met and interviewed the amateur astronomers that run the observatory. One senior amateur astronomer was especially friendly and helpful. BC-A, Bill’s RJJst
