I find this so moving...
...this loving tribute penetrates me as my father left me when I was 4 years old. I missed him so. I met him again 12 years later when I was 16 and knew him as an adult; but I never received any teaching, help or direction from him...except in an indirect way.
So it is joyful to hear your love for your Dad...
And I, too, as a Dad feel so sorry for my own failings towards my children..especially my son.
With the the best intentions it sometimes just doesn't work out.
You touched a chord in me that at 67, still hurts....
