Kooka...
Unfortunately, "personal attacks", although abhorring to most, is a strategy being used by some in the hope of winning arguments. Most thoughtful people can see thru that, and are actually turned off, especially in favor of rational arguments. Your sticking to your values is commendable. What bothers me is that, many of these "personal attackers" are actually good-hearted folks. Life's experiences, and wrong protagonists, have soured them enough to resort to such tactics. Hopefully, some of us can reach their hearts in time, assure them that they are not being ignored, but it'll only be in their interest to stick to rational, civil dialogue.

I generally don't block people. I have only blocked one blogger ever and it was because he refused to stop insulting me and my ideas with every comment he made.
What I have seen is most of those who block here do it because they dislike being told their ideas are flawed or that they were proved wrong in something they said. I am not about to sink down to their level. I believe in an open exchange of ideas and blocking does not promote that.

The least you can do to block this one-way traffic (read comments) is to block those who have blocked you. Tit for tat!
