Sam

Each victory – be it grand or simple – is indeed a reason for personal celebration.  Life will always be a journey towards these victories – anything less would be terribly dull.

Every now and again my dear Shelly
respite is necessary in whatever form we can receive it from; being as we are one with our creator as long as we can forgive ourselves all is well; this is superb; many blessings and thanks always

Nice illustration of a problem, written like someone who knows...
I guess we all have our pursuits and distractions, things that enable us to avoid loneliness or an overabundance of negative attention -- side trips of the mind. You so often provide a springboard to contemplation.  Thanks.

PS. I read some of it again...
...it is quite brilliant really.

I don't think you should feel (apparently) so bad about the gentle intoxication.....it isn't just an illusion in my view. A glass of wine gladdens a man's heart; or a Xanax for a moment's relief; or whatever it is.....

All humans need a bit of recreation and any which ways, I do not personally believe, God minds one bit. So neither should we.

In the end, with or without the breaks we take using our different crutches, it all comes to the same thing IMHO.

Blaise Pascal said, in Pensees: "In the end, everyone has a clod of earth thrown on their heads and that's that; no matter how fine the rest of the play."

Have you read Ecclesiastes?

Love, Me

Well, this is quite amazing....
...a soliloquy on the struggle.....which, I believe, we all have one way or another.

You have tremendous resolve and determination......I sometimes think your take on "the crutch" and your thoughts are a bit over-pessimistic. They are JUST THOUGHTS .

I have very difficult times too so I am not preaching, but from time to time I am greatly helped by my meditation practice which has taught me to 'take distance' and become detached from unruly thoughts.

I admire you...and I love you Sam444.....
