It sounds so very interesting. I love log-cabin type homes. And, the surrounding ten acres sounds beautiful. Actually, it sounds like an ideal setting for some kind of novel.

Yes, that has been thought of... and one of the upstairs rooms could be
for storage of household stuff like linens, cleaning equipment, etc.

Jan, with the high stuff upstairs, one wonders if the tall person
was forever banging his or her head on the downstairs log beams! Yes, we will offer less than they are asking... have discarded the idea of rental already, as then when we decided we were ready to buy, the owner could hike up the price for the then-current housing market. everyone says it is already on the rebound...

It sounds terrific. But how odd about the high celings upstairs, the high swing and the high sink. Quite a mystery. Hope it works out for you - must be a good time to negotiate the price downwards?
