I like Ciel's comment that "living it is not always as adventurous as remembering it." I have found that to be true. More and more, as I advance in age, I am more inclined to spend time remembering that desiring to go.

Is it blessing or curse...
to live the life adventurous, and to become weary of it... But from my occasional adventurous opportunities, I know well that living it is not always as adventurous-feeling as remembering it... It sounds like Istanbul will be a happy combination of both adventure and being at home.

Spain Vogue.
Rain means lush green grass and no dust to get in your eyes; of course when it goes on so long that you forget what the sun looks like it gets trivial. So enjoy the sweltering heat in Istanbul and the company of yours friends.

I guess when you are a outdoors person the rain would be boring, how about repeating this 3 times the rain in Spain stays mainly in the plain

Poor you! It seems that it is the same weather is Canada: not much of a summer there either. I am so glad I decided to come spent the harsh Australian winter (sunny, 20-25oC)here with my Mann and Son, laying in the sun, drinking fine wine...LOL Sorry meine Liebe, couldn't resist!
I do hope you have better weather in Istanbul, though!
