It sounds a little like a soap opera at the Car Wash. Some people have a real hard time appologising. It has something to do with their pride I think. He may be sorry, but not able to express it. On a lighter note, our Mexican "adopted" son asked me on the phone if dude was a bad word. His English is pretty good now, but not perfect. He said, "I couldn't find it in the dictionary". I thought that was funny.

I'm certainly glad that I'm not in a position to fire anyone. I didn't even like to give evaluations to the people under me if I had to give them low scores. I'm just a wimp I guess.

Where I live, almost everybody uses the word Dude! Calling your boss 'dude' might be inappropriate, though. I think the guy should get a break so he can keep his home!
