I simply don't know why I haven't read you before.  Outstanding work, Damon...  I'll be checking in more often.

Damon and Shawn

We are fighting a monstrous beast that, despite our best efforts, is not just going to be affected by one day out of the year. I saw it with my own eyes. I heard people's stories of the malls. (And I was traveling on Friday to get back home...)

Much like what they said of Christmas, the spirit of Buy Nothing Day shouldn't just be observed once a year, it should be in our minds and in our heart's year 'round!

(Good luck convincing people of that...)

Ahhh...
...I didn't realise that. Hence the symbolism and REAL challenge behind this idea. That's cooler than I'd thought!!

Yay, Big D!

I thought I was the ONLY one harping on this issue; of course, I should have realized you're tossing your hat in the ring too!

Well, today is the Giant Consumer Icky Greedy Orgy here in America, the "busiest shopping day of the year."

God help us all.
