"knee-jerk emotionalism" is the key, the words I mention in this post act like hot buttons amongst this crowd. No amount of reason or even facts will ever dissuade promoters of an agenda for God. The only hope the rest of us have is that their exclusionism policies will eventually implode due to the fact that these policies disregard the needs, wants and rights of so many people.
Typical of the bible lobotomized, they bellow about the evils of a country such as Iran while they push their own society in exactly the same direction . . . "take back the nation for God" indeed, which is without exception invariably their God.
All others can literally go to hell.

they've ruined school districts when they were in charge
wasted valuable time having their narrow religious laws go to court to be thrown out
I just got mail from Newt Gingrich (wonder how he thinks I am of the same mind he is) to basically "take back the nation for God" (my phraseology, not his, but the basic idea), meaning a movement is afoot to try to make this a "Christian nation".
their knee-jerk emotionalism is still quite a powerful force in our country.
