Re: sam444
Thanks Shelly/sam. I am safe but I have been concerned about my grand daughter at a bible camp near the fires. So far things have calmed down some and the fires are some under control. We will need to keep praying!

Re: Amen to that Margaret
Thank you Maria! Some of the evacuated people returned home today but remain on alert! There are three wildfires in the Kelowna area. The largest is over 1000 hectares and the other two are between 400 and 800 hectares! 1 hectare=2.471 acresI live about 3/4 hour away but we are smoked in today. Air quality is not very clear. The weather is hot and extremely dry in this area.Perhaps we are to get some lightening in the next week which could start more fires. worrisome to say the least.

Fires can be terrible things, I will never lose respect for them after being close to a red-orange blazing one that was destroying a building and praying it would not come my way. Prayers for all.
