hope, I can remember as a young teen when our Pastor at the time
suggested some of us teens look into forming a youth group...of course, we all thought is was a good idea, and we asked if He would lead it - his answer was basically that he would oversee it from a distance, but WE would lead our own meetings and fun times...that showed a lot of trust on his part, and I've never forgotten it..

Great advice! Many adults look at children as young adults, and they're not! Their goal is fun, not money stability, efficiency, or any of the other things that motivate adults. If you can show them how they can have fun and do right, they will listen most of the time.
