notme
when "i" meditate
it is observed that "i" am meditating.
And then "i" can say
to "myself"...
Who is observing
me observing me
meditating.

Well said... for who or what we are is what it is and its better not to define "us". When we define something we limit it to whatever we believe it is... I prefer not to have limits set on who or what I am... what about you? I loved this poem!!!!

From my studying all this sort of thing.....
...for quite a long time, "you" are indeed not your thoughts.
The observer of the thoughts is said to be the real you. That is the authentic "I".
What this "I" actually is, is a local concentration of energy and information made up of Cosmic Consciousness
and conscious of itself within the parameters of a physical body. If however you identify your "I" with your
physical body alone and separated from the Universal Consciousness, you are focusing in a temporary
phenomenon. That "I" is the ego-self with its material being, memories, etc. and that "I" will pass away one day.
But when you identify your "I" as part of the larger Cosmic Consciousness, you are eternal and never die...

Dear Grand Sudan Nation...you are influencing me again...
"Infintiy extends as far as one can see...
But do we see
or think we see?"
"The answer to the question is...
there is no me."
and with that
The Grand Frog arose
and went off into the woods to take a piss...

Re: I've turned inside out and back again
Well, infinity extends into every direction -- as far as I can see ;-)

This is a tough question. The 'I' is the 'eye', i.e. the Observer
The Seesaw. the one that sees and saw. "You are that; all this is that; and that's all there is." A bubble observing a bubble? I don't think so... maybe one continuous, genuine bubble imagining many other rainbow reflecting orbs.

Meditation= concentration and awareness. For instance, if you get "lost" in a song, you are concentrating on that song but you are not aware of it. When you meditate you are aware that you are concentrating; you observe yourself, but neither one is you.

Mmmm...very interesting question and observation. The mind, where thoughts
happen is but a sophisticated instrument which attempts to translate that which comes from beyond itself...You (just annother pasing thought)

the thought is not the person. But "it" observing the thought is not the person either. Is it? It is. It is?
