Re: RebusRising
It is in Pendleton Heights, a historic neighborhood in Kansas City located near and overlooking the downtown loop. It is one of the oldest specifically residentially-designed neighborhoods in Kansas City. It was Kansas City's first developed suburb. It is recognized as a historic district. It includes an urban scenic byway and the largest collection of true victorian homes in the city. The neighborhood also includes a castle on the bluffs ("Tiffany Castle") overlooking the East Bottoms and the Missouri River below. Josephine's old house sits in an area of Pendleton Heights where the old homes are fairly close together. As she became old, her house became rundown and now looks pretty much like a haunted house.

Oh boy!
A neat old house and piano to write a story about! What kind of neighborhood or lot does it sit in?

Re: shelly_b
Josephine refuses to let anyone sell it or the house as long as she is living. She still hopes to be able to go back home. So everything sits there the way it was the day she broke her hip almost five years ago.

Cool memories and music!
I'm surprised nobody has taken the piano and music out of the house.
