Re: I don't see a new world order as a conspiracy but something to aspire for

Straightforward - you mention a good point and bring to mind another point worth mentioning. References to a "New World Order" made by politicians and social leaders over the last century or so are speaking of a model of international co-operation. In that regard, a new world order is something to aspire to. The problem with the illuminati conspiracy folks is that they latch onto these references as further proof that their conspiracy theory is real.

As with most unhealthy beliefs; illuminati conspiracy theory proponents are effectively promoting the antithesis of co-operation amongst differing religious, cultural and national interests.

Chilitree - the shift you describe is inevitable. The Earth's resources are finite, our species will eventually reach a point, one way or another, where co-operation amongst nations must be at a level substantially greater than it is now.  The concern of those who subscribe to the illuminati conspiracy theory is a little different however, in that they believe somehow a handful of men (it's always men) are going to take over the world for their own self serving agendas.

There is no disagreeing with what you are saying but ultimately, you outline the very reason that a one world government is virtually impossible. In order for it to take place, the world as we know it must cease to exist. Until that day comes; divergent cultural, religious and philisophical differences all promoting self interest, will insure that mankind never has a compelling enough reason to fully co-operate with one another.

Talion_ - once more, I completely agree
As I allude to in this post, it seems that these types of conspiracy theories find the most fertile ground amongst those who have little social influence. The old story of finding out what it is like to sit on the other side of the desk comes to mind here. An individual who has no experience with any of the things that the illuminati are supposedly attempting to do, can quite simply fill in the blanks with any preposterous notion that makes their conspiracy theory work.

I don't see a new world order as a conspiracy but something to aspire for
in the interests of all of us. And that new world order need not necessarily be about A order or one Government. It's very composition can have diversity and other desirable attributes built into it.

I do not know, but think that maybe out of the necessity for survival or
logical response to circumstances, governmental power will become more and more centralized on various continents ... I certainly am no boffin when it comes to these issues but that is what I think...so far. I would also like to tell you that even though you and I may not see eye to eye, I do respect your intellectual integrity and the sense you make to my understanding.

how will a one world government form?

People as individuals are not dangerous,

People in mass are, I see people like water, always following the path of least resistance. If someone comes along offering everyone a better way of life, they will follow. Time and history have shown that the masses are easily influenced. This may not be the answer you wanted, its just an opinion of course, but I beleive it to be a logical one.

The first step I believe will take a disaster of the likes we as a human race have yet to see. Then people will follow.

take care

there always has to be an antogonist for certain people -- an enemy
they couldn't survive without one.

If these secret societies really exist, the question isn't how do you know about it? It's what are you going to do about it? The answer is simple. Absolutely nothing. The conspiracy theorists talk a good game, but when it all boils down, it's just talk. They won't do anything about it because they can't. In order for a society to function and flourish, there must be rulers, rules, those who enforce them, and those who follow. The only difference between the most free society and the most oppressive isn't how the majority of citizens are actually treated, but how they feel about themselves.
