Re: Gomedome you are nearly at 40,000 visits
mysteria - the counter I am using does not differentiate between IP addresses as the one on our Write page does. In reality I am closing in on 35,000 unique visits, where my counter shows all visits. The numbers are also a bit misleading because I put the counter up about 3 years after I started this blog.

Re: yep -- the blame goes elsewhere -- buck gets passed
Xeno-x - it is particularly troubling when the blame is put on fictitious groups or manufactured enemies.

Kabu - I would argue that the tendency to "slice and dice" any type of perceived authoritative reference source is a universal affliction of all people, varying from individual to individual only by degree. It seems to be more profound within religious groups because the very nature of such groups facilitates consensus building as a means of self promotion.
Where I wouldn't use the term "God is love", that which I attempt to adhere to is much the same thing promoting much the same values.

good thought here, Sigh, we Christians really do put people off with our
narrow concepts and convenient slicing and dicing the bible until what we think is totally out of its context or historical period. Such middle class conformity and moral ruled beliefs. I believe God is love and that pretty well covers all I need. With love comes respect for others and the more I read your posts the more my respect has grown.
