Xeno-x - Re: lots of imagination here
That's exactly what it is, a not so constructive use of the imagination to exponentially inflate some of society's obscure fringe elements as a means of promoting a self serving agenda.

calia14 - the part that will always surprise me is how easily people

accept these things without question.

Especially when the contentions made are so easily disproven. . . . about it being "way too underground for us" . . it must be, otherwise there would be a whole lot of mutilated bodies piling up somewhere.

They are using an "us versus them" mentality, premised we can presume on the notion that only buying into their beliefs will save a person from falling into the dastardly hands of "them".

I admit, I didn't read the whole article, but what I did read of it was garbage.  Metallica encourages Satanism?  The purpose of all metal music is to glorify violence and death?  Are you fucking kidding me?  True to what you said, I have never met a Satanist, or known of anyone who was a Satanist.  Maybe this shit is just way too underground for us Gome.  Now, I have known lots of Spiritualists, Wiccans, Pagans of other sects, Atheists, Agnostics, and I'd be willing to guess that those people are all classified as Satanists by whatever this fundamentalist group is.  I'm sure they are using the "us vs. them" theory, by which anyone not practicing their specific brand of Christianity is considered an active Satanist. Great post, thanks for the heads up about the rampant Satanism threatening to consume our society.
