I think the GOP has a future, but it may not be
possible for them to sweep the off-year congressional elections, or regain the white house in '12.
Even though the "birthers" have Lou Dobbs now on their side, and an organized attempt to turn the community health care fora into Boston Tea Party shouting fests, it appears that even the blue dog dems are on board to Insurance reform. None of the major players, not the insurers, nor the doctors and hospitals have spoken out against insurance reform.
So, if Obama can get a package this fall, and if the economy contiues to bounce back, the GOP will be nothing more than a leaky boat for Sarah "General MacArthur" Palin to retreat in, in a new direction.
