Re: rockingrector
I admire his tenacity - I lack the focus to learn an instrument, for me music is something to which I listen and dream

Re: Sam444
I am so glad you enjoyed it - it was jazz for me too, I wrote this after listening to some slow jazz sax.

My sin-in-law (no, it's not a misprint!) is learning the sax and loves it. Spends hours practising and is rapidly reaching great heights.

This is fabulous! I could hear the sax, too! I thought of Bourbon street in New Orleans! It was jazz for me! sam

Breathtakingly beautiful Neil... something so drenched in feeling could only have come straight from the heart... the fact that it is so structurally perfect is a testament to your poetic soul... This is true poetry my friend... the raw, essential quality that exists in the melting of a performers' feelings with the music he plays, expressed in the language of the music and rythm of a poet's heart. Bravo!

Separate from the beautiful sentiment of this poem, I was caught in your rhyme and rhythm – obviously words and phrasing carefully chosen to create this gem.
