vogue - that is the type of advice I give to people I like

The first things to be done in setting up any ecommerce or online selling endeavor; are to determine one's needs as well as one can and then simultaneously begin an orchestrated attack at the massive learning curve. There is so much to do and know at first, that a blogging platform can be a prudent means of organizing, promoting, accumulating and growing. A public blogging platform, versus a private one is solely determined by the business persons needs. Whether it be a blogging platform or even a similar means of self publishing such as the use of craigslist or kijiji, is not really important in the initial stages,. . . just as long as the person new to online selling is using and developing the necessary skillsets. Number one of those being: to develop the ability to spit out spiffy product listings.

Having a means of accumulating electronic "micro assets" such as product images and product listing text is vitally important. I so much endorse this strategy that I do it myself. When I have to re-organize and rethink an area of online business, I do it in a private blogging platform: HERE

I just helped a friend to set up a site to promote and showcase her costume jewelry, using something as simple (and free) as blogspot. It has turned out very nice. So, next time some moron  annoys you, politely send him 'packing' there.
