You've driven the point home well. This bothers me too... I see
similar things happening around. I myself have not been a great daughter. But I never made claims on my parents. Only didn't give enough time for them and now they are gone.

As a species...we are losing the ability to love and respect ourselves. If you can't do that for yourself...you can't put it out there in the universe, or extend it to your loved ones. I'm hoping for a turn around.

You've touched a raw nerve, my friend. It is a perpetual debate on Joint versus nuclear family. A nuclear set-up by nature is self-centered! PARENTS DESERVE A BETTER DEAL!!
