Malcolm, that's such a lovely story. I too had a secondhand bike - my first - at the age of eleven. But it wasn't a full size and I'd grown out of it within the year. But when I was fourteen, my father came home one day with a 'Pink Lady'. It was just the greatest - and I too cycle to this day. I love it.
