How sad to suspect an argument over you, except that if it wasn't you it
probably would have been something else. One shouldn't feel guilty because of the actions of others because that would make the whole world stop if everybody did that....

I agree with Sam, that it isn't one incident.  Usually things pile on top of each other for a long time.  I am sad about your parents break-up though.  Glad it is going better this time for you with your dad gone.

It is never one incident that drives couples apart! It was in the making and sometimes an event appears to break the camels back so to speak! I think it was good Steve was there to help out! sam

Sometimes couples dont even know why they broke up, who knows marriage is a mystery

You may be right on that last part, but as you stated only the couple involved really has answers, and sometimes they don't even really know why they do what they do.
