Troosha - Re: Yikes
The part I had to laugh at was the kid who appeared to be 9 or 10, who claimed that he felt his life was without purpose before being "saved" at 5 years old. Saved from what? What can a 5 year old possibly need to be saved from? . . . an addiction to licorice? . . . watching too many cartoons? The scary part is the likelihood that this kid in particular is already at a point where the programming may be so complete that he may never fully recover.

Yikes
And as parents we're supposed to be raising our children to think for themselves and understand the importance of making good
choices? Scary stuff.....

Xeno-x - "Our job is to reclaim America for Christ, whatever the cost"
D. James Kennedy (deceased) -
I heard that voice over part near the beginning as well, which I believe was an excerpt from a D. James Kennedy sermon. Discussing it is a post in itself.

WHAT'S WORRISOME IS HOW MANY PEOPLE OF ALL AGES ARE LIKE THAT
letting all that nonsense sink into their minds and not letting it go for their whole lives
and what's scary is one of the statements in the first part about making this a nation "for Christ".
a Christian dictatorship, in other words.

inculcation that's what it is --
generations teaching generations -- happens everywhere -- and each individual way of thinking is absolutely correct to the exclusion of all others.
and here is the source of the world's troubles.

calia14 - Re: That really was disburbing
The children speaking in tongues is scary on a number of different levels but primarily in the fact that adults are promoting and condoning such a farce. Anyone not buying into the nonsense these people are attempting to advance knows that getting a room full of children to react this way is nothing more than exploiting them. Manipulating the desire to please, the fear of being left out and the malleability inherent in all young children.
Even scarier is the ultimate goal of these people in that ultimately they are attempting to raise a generation of children that are capable of "out fanaticizing" the religious fanatics of other religions.

That really was disburbing
The part when all the kids started speaking in tongues was very children-of-the-corn-esque. When the lady said "Excuse me, but we have the truth", I was reminded of the afterword in crime and punishment. If you've never read it, the murderous main character has a bad dream, that all men are infected with a virus that makes them believe they have "the truth" above all others. In short, it is an end-of-the-world dream, as men kill each other for their "truth".
