Comments on NEGATIVE VS. POSITIVE FEEDBACK ON BLOGIT

I guess it depends on what a blogger sees as negative. There were some bloggers that disagreed with a decision I made, but I don't consider that negative. Now if one of them called me an idiot for making that decision I would rather not have it.

What a great post, Shelly_b.  It's true that on eBay positive feedback is so, so important for future transactions.  Here at Blogit, I think that any kind of feedback is good for a post--even negative comments because they draw attention too.  Curiosity keeps us reading even when we don't comment.

I agree with you.  I think comments are important, but we should not depend on them.

Most of the Blogit comments seems to be entirely generous and supportive. Negative ones are OK as long as they're positive criticism, but not OK if they're just hurtful and rude. IMHO!!

Ya, I like comments too: it's almost like a drug. If I don't get any for a posting, I imagine the worst about my ability to write!

Shelly
You’re so right that the positive feedback, the comments, which sometimes well exceed those we might receive on free blog sites, keep us going.  They maybe inspire us to keep on writing or the may even just make us feel a part of a small but friendly community.  The first time I received negative feedback (hurtful) I instantly considered leaving as that wasn’t what a “signed up for”.  But that’s only happened once.  Good luck with ebay!

you are finding out the worse thing on ebay is the shipping and the cost keeps rising and what they say on ebay isnt always the correct rate, so you loose money.  We just sold a grill from my daughters car and the shipping is the tricky thing since the size and shape is unusual.  So I am hoping to find a less expensive box to send it in.  Its always good to get the negative if you learn from it.

As far as blogit goes...
I'm not around much to care that I don't get many comments...which is quite natural when you don't post often.

The thing about ebay....yeah...positive feedback is essential. Is there a lot of stuff you're planning on selling?
The key is to always charge a little more for shipping and handling (not too much more), but some at least to cover some of the cost of the item in case you don't get much for it.
