That sounds so insulting and rude to me!
I have never seen or heard that done in the far north where I live. Not ever. That must seem strange to you, I guess. Those who want to be honked and whistled at will feel ignored in the far north--unless you count the guys driving cars into lamp posts when you walk by! LOL

Ha, my dear, if (what rarely happens) someone whistles at me at MY AGE I feel like giving them a bunch of flowers! It's nice at any age.
