- Go to Saw stars last night...
I think you're right, it is all a matter of perspective!
I was pleased to see Orion in the skies here one night--a familiar and old friend from my childhood winter nights when he hung outside my window in New York.
It is strange not to see the other familiar constellations, like the Dippers.

I can often see the Southern Cross... I think Orion is upside down.. never did get used to the stars 'down under'. All a question of perspective, perhaps. I'm just glad the stars are there.

Ciel, wonderful description
I don't think there is anything like the southern sky on a clear night.

Re: Seems I never get to see much of the stars...I really need to get out there
The Colorado Plateau is not as pristine as it was a few years ago, but it's one of the best places in America to see glorious night skies. It's spectacular during the day, too, just about everywhere!

I cannot even imagine how many pictures you are taking, and I can hardly wait to see them.
