Bush and the power of a single braincell
Katray, there was a proverb that owes it's roots to Beria in the old Soviet Union. Loosely translated it mean't "When you seek liberty, you invite execution." I think we will be allowed to blog for a while but all bets may be up if Dubya gets a repeat performance in 2004. Thanks for reading.

Unbelievable
and terrifying how quickly our freedoms are slipping away. But we're so much safer and secure with the Patriot-Less Act and that incredible spying system, the Matrix. I wonder how much longer anti-government writings and blogs will be allowed. Great post, btw.

Standing under Bush's red light
Shawn, it's been said that democracy is like a whore, she makes you pay, then she makes you cry. A harsh lesson for the nation.

Illusions of democracy.
You are correct. America is no longer a democracy. It is a plutocracy where the money interests own and operate the government. As far as being a Republic, we could have pretensions to becoming a Banana Republic provided the Bush family doesn't declare themselves a monarchy. The People have refused to be vigilant against fascism and they have paid the price.

Excellent!
Those that claim to be the most patriotic in this country are, unfortunately, those most opposed to the values and ideals that this country is founded upon.
Excellent blog, very well written.
