The biggest earthquake I was in was a 5.1 or 5.2.  It lasted about 30 seconds or more.  I was in a van folding clothes, as we had been traveling.  It sure felt strange! No damage where we were.

My son worked at a lodge on Kodiak Island as a sport fisherman guide! It was the same lodge that Tiger Woods stayed at! Wow! I am so glad he is not there this summer! Very crazy activity according to the map! sam

Kodiak Island must be a very interesting place but, I don't thing I want to go anywhere that has frequent seismic activities.  I get motion sick too easily.  I once felt a slight tremor visiting my grandma and it made me very nauseous.
