Kooka:  You rock.  And I know that to be true because I just wrote it here.  And it was written:  "Kooka Rocks".

However, I'm pretty sure some guy named King James wrote large portions of the Bible we know today.  I mean, it's doesn't say "The Holy Bible, God Version".  It says, "The Holy Bible, King James Version".  I mean... duh.

Wings, there is a difference
We can prove that Lincoln was alive because we have documented evidence beyond just one book.

And no where does a book says that Abe Lincoln was alive because this book says that Abe Lincoln was alive with no other source for that information.  If we only had one book that talked about Lincoln and that book was the only source that said there was a man named Abe Lincoln, then I would be very doubtful about Lincoln. Instead we have a truly documented history of Lincoln, making it clear that he was real and he really did all that he is credited for doing.  There is no doubt at all that Lincoln was a real person, was President and did a lot of other stuff during his life, concluding with his assassination at Ford's Theater.

The problem is you refuse to understand the logic here because you have no desire to expand your understanding due to fear of where that might go.  There is a huge difference between documented history and the Bible.

Of course that is not really what this post was about.  It was about the Bible saying that it was the word of God and somehow that being all the proof you and those like you need in order to believe it is the word of God.  The book itself saying it is something, does not make it so.

Kooka, this makes NO sense. You say some weird stuff. If what you say is the case, then you couldn't prove anyone lived before you were born right? You never saw Abe Lincoln, but you read the documents. You have never seen him alive or face to face, so according to your "logic" I guess Abe never really lived because you never touched him with your own hands? And that goes for anyone else who has ever lived or died before your time. The only "proof" you have is that of what is in writings and documented.
