TAPSEL-T, You are my oldest friend here on Blogit, and I respect you, yet

my career is in flux.  I am retiring from Public Middle School Education, and finding my depth "out there".  On growing old, I revere ED Hirsch who stated that "...the older I get the more blunt I become..."  I think he means that he has something to offer and no one is picking it up.  So, he's begun to shout.

Also, having seen my president get so far lost in his international affairs, and wanting the new one to be successful, I'm just obsessive enough about learning and teaching that I think I can help.  So, that's why I get in the middle of all these culture wars...Love ya'! Mike

This post, and the one before it that goes with it, pretty much explain why I am tempted to stick to light reading these days.  Sometimes, thinking about everything that goes on in this world, I feel like the Core-Gap is in my head.
