Wings, you haven't a clue, I'll not keep repeating myself as I so often do. You didn't get the first time, you'll certainly not get it the third or forth time.
And just saying stuff like that proves nothing nad really just weakens your stance
Of course I understand perfectly well what you are saying, the problem is that you refuse to think about what I am saying. You have closed your mind off so tightly that it is next to impossible to get through to you. What you keep saying makes no sense and has no logic at all to back it up. If the punishment has changed, then the old way of doing things had to have become out dated. And I can promise you that there is not a single person on this Earth who truly follows the whole of the Bible, mostly because a great deal of it is truly out dated. The problem is that so many like you just refuse to admit this truth.

Wow Wings,
If things needed to become stricter, then that says the old laws were not longer working, and so became out dated and needed to be replaced. If they are nor disregarded, then you still should be stoning all manner of people. If you are not doing this, then those idea either are being ignored or have become out dated and had to be changed. Either way they are aspect of the Bible that you do not follow.

That is saying that the rules and laws of the Old Testament are outdated and have changed. If you are no longer going to follow God's laws and stone people to death, then you are NOT following all of the Bible. You are openly saying that there are parts that are out dated and no longer apply.

NO, I'm saying that the penalty of sin has gotten more strict over the years, our legal system uses the electric chair, gas chambers, and lethal injections for the ultimate punishment on this earth, but Gods punishment is much harsher-hence Hell was enlarged. So the Bible is not outdated, but just the opposite, it's more strict.

If you follow the whole of the Bible, you must have participated in a great deal of public stonings, which God demands. Since you knwo the Bible so well and follow every part of it, you should know all the possible reasons that God says you should stone people, so I shouldn't need to list them for you. I just figure anyone who lives their lives based on the whole of the Bible should have done right by God's orders and have stoned to death a fair amount of people by now.

I do not use Bible verses to back up my beliefs ir prove anything about what I believe in. I never have and never will, and neither do any atheists or agnostics I know of. What we do however is we use Bible verse to point out where believers end up being hypocritical or not following what they claim they follow. You tell me you follow all the rules in the Bible and do not pick and choose, and then I give you a rule right out of the Bible that I know you are not following, that just prove a point about the hypocritical nature of believers. It is not defending my beliefs at all. You will find no one out there who actually follows every single rule in the Bible, it just cannot be done, yet it is very common for believers to claim they do not pick and choose what to follow.
Also, since believers claim they case their views on life around Biblical teachings, if one wishes to debate with them it helps for one to know the Bible and be able to use the Bible in those debates. if you wished to debate with me you would need to go and learn all you could about science and logic, since those are what I base my views on the world from and that is what I use to defend my beliefs.
And just because we do not believe in the Bible and God does not mean we have no idea what we are talking about when we discuss Biblical matters.
