Because He's the only one who will sit on the right hand of the Father, that's were He is right now making intercession for sins until He returns to get His bride. Praise the Lord!
On a side note xeno, you seem like a nice person deep down, I truly hope that one day you'll understand the Bible as it should be understood. You are an intelligent man, and I would hate for all of that to go to waste because you dismiss certain truths of the Word of God. There is a Hell, there is a Heaven. There is the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirt. And in order for one to make it to Heaven, they must be born again. I saw your numbers, and sadly they are probably pretty close to true. I say that because the Bible tells us that few will go to Heaven, and there is so much wickedness in hearts of people these days, and it only gets worse and worse. But anyway, enough of my rambling.

My husband jumped in the shower before we have to head out, so I'll leave a quick comment here,
Jesus is the SON OF GOD, but He was also born of the virgan Mary[son of man]. Jesus was both. "And the WORD was made flesh and dwelt among us." Jesus was referring to Himself when He said "You shall see the son of man sitting at the right hand of God". At that moment, He was the son of man too, as well as the Son of God.
And in Psalms, "son of man" is referring to anyone living on this Earth, aka humankind.
We are NOT God.
