Re: Xeno-x - the funniest part of the "born again criteria" is how it
nothing is being contradicted, His own chosen people did reject Him, and if they don't get saved they'll not go to Heaven either, God has NO respecter of persons. Gentiles are under the dispensation of grace right now, and we were grafted in .

Xeno-x - the funniest part of the "born again criteria" is how it

demolishes its own underlying religious tenets.

The Jewish religion does not recognize Jesus Christ as either the son of God or the messiah. So what this means is that the "chosen people" of the bible are all going straight to hell if being born again had any merit. I guess that's what happens when someone invents another religious belief nearly 18 centuries after the original story supposedly took place, there are bound to be these little annoying contradictions.

Re: Posted by Soul_Builder101
these aren't my statistics.

It seems you fail to understand my point.

According to the "born again" theory, 95% of Christians are going to Hell.

Look at the figures again -- 1.3 billion Catholics -- then numerous other denominations -- these people have not received Jesus Christ as their personal savior per the "born again" criterion.  Thus, according to onwingsoflove, they are all going to Hel.  Read her comments -- that's exactly what she says.

A god that saves only 1% of humankind -- and about 5% of Christians, many of hwom fervently believe, is not God at all; as I said , this god must be Satan.

Or else Satan is winning in spades.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: so faith makes no difference Posted by onwingsoflove
Well all I can tell you is that I believe in what I believe because of the INERRANT WORD OF GOD. So I myself am not right, God is, I just happen to be on the winning side, praise the Lord for saving me! Catholics talk to a man in a "phone booth" and pay em' off to get forgiveness, but man cant forgive it, they must tell the Lord. The Bible says that JESUS is our mediator NOT man. JESUS makes intercession for sin NOT man. So you figure it out, it's quite simple. Everything they do is agaist the Bible-"A friend of the world,is an ENEMY of God."

you are sure you're right

Catholics are sure they're right.

but they think they are doing God's will.

so they think they are perfectly right -- but you say they are going to Hell.

again I ask the question:

If Catholic theology is right and non-Catholics won't go to Heaven, and you die and find your self in PUrgatory or Limbo instead of Heaven -- what then?

Re: Re: Re: Re: so faith makes no difference Posted by onwingsoflove
heres your answer, THAT WON'T HAPPEN. you see, I read THE WORD OF GOD, aka the Bible. and Catholics read something completly different, something that man thought up. The Bible was inspired by the Holy Spirt, therefore "It is impossible for God to lie" so I think Ill stick with the truth, and according to the TRUTH, I will go to Heaven, because I have been saved. Sprinkling water on someone WON'T save them.

these "billions of people" are only exculded if they want to be.

posted by onwingsoflove on May 5, 2009 at 4:56 PM | link to this | reply

ACTUALLY, EITHER YOUR GOD IS SATAN, OR SATAN IS WINNING
BECAUSE WHEN WE LOOK AT SHEER NUMBERS, WE HAVE TENS OF BILLIONS OF PEOPLE GOING TO HELL ACCORDING TO THE BORN-AGAIN CRITERION AS OPPOSED TO SOME TENS OF MILLIONS -- THAT'S A 1,000/1 RATIO OF THOSE GOING TO HELL AS OPPOSED TO THOSE GOING TO HEAVEN.

Only Satan can cause all that much suffering.

Xeno-x - as a continuation of an earlier comment you made

They like to use the numbers when it works for them but ultimately none of these people can answer the tough questions. When one group prescribes a distinct path to heaven as being the only one true path, the inconsistencies become too big to reconcile. Passing judgement on others becomes an inevitable byproduct.

Even the attempts at being all encompassing insert conditions that become irreconcilable. How can it be only the Christian versions of "the Lord" or "the Bible", doesn't this imaginary God of theirs offer a chance at eternal bliss to anyone else on this planet?

but you didn't answer my question.

If you die and discover that the Catholic belief is right and yours is wrong and you are not going to Heaven -- what then?

problem is, wings of love and lordswork, that the criteria you yourselves
set forth for going to Heaven  excludes all these billions of people.,

isn;t that correct?

XENO X
YOU CAN'T ACTUALLY SAY THAT ALL OF THESE PEOPLE ARE GOING TO HELL. THAT IS LIKE PUTTING JUDGEMENT ON ALL OF THESE PEOPLE. WHAT DETERMINES THEIR TRIP TO HELL IS THE CONDITION OF THEIR OWN HEARTS, WHICH IS NOT FOR US TO DECIDE. THAT IS UP TO GOD. THE FIRST AND GREATEST COMMANDMENT IS LOVE THE LORD WITH ALL YOUR HEART MIND AND SOUL. IF YOU CAN DO THIS AND FOLLOW WHAT THE BIBLE TELLS YOU TO DO, THEN YOU HAVE MORE THAN A GOOD CHANCE OF SEEING THE GRACE OF OUR GOD. SAYING THAT SOMEONE IS GOING TO HELL IS PUTTING JUDGEMENT ON THEM AND PUTS YOU IN DANGER OF HELL YOURSELF, AND I'M TALKING ABOUT ALL PEOPLE. GOD BLESS.

I, for one, am happy that Kooka was not "cruxified". We're already outnumbered around here. (ZenMom still searching for a larger "bat" with which to club the fundies, as suggested in Gomedome's post.)

Re: Re: so faith makes no difference
yeah, they do believe they are right, but so does the muslims and everyone else on the face of this planet, it does not matter what people "think" it's about what God thinks, and you'll find who is right and who is wrong by simply reading HIS WORD, the Bible, not some man-made version of it.

Re: so faith makes no difference
you go through life truly believing you are right, and discovering when you die that you wrong and you go to Hell.

What if the Catholic belief is right and Christian non-Catholics don't go to Heaven, but end up in Limbo or Purgatory, or some place like that?

What if you are wrong and Catholic belief is right and when you die you discover you aren't going to Heaven?

And Catholics do truly believe that their belief is right.

The answer is all to simple...

I've explained it to you once or twice before. The "title" carried around, makes no difference. It's whether or not you have been saved or not. And the Bible says that "Few there be that find it" NOT MANY. The majority of people are going to Hell, and they'll sure enough deserve it for rejected the One who went through such a horrible death for sinners to be saved. If your son Kooka, would have been the one cruxified, and people mocked and rejected him, I've got a feelilng, you'd be a pretty angry daddy too!
