Re:
rockingrector, I have always been a person to not buy into hype. (Well, usually, hehehehh) If it had been my wedding, I would have gone ahead with it. But, many people cannot just swim against the current, even if there really isn't a new current to swim against.

But haven't the media loved it all? hyping up the scare fact daily, although everyone over here who has had it has only been mildly ill. One poor girl had her wedding with 80 guests booked to fly to Mexico, but it's all been cancelled. Perhaps unnecessarily.

Anything and everything get spun out of control. It's as if people can't be happy if there isn't something scary abd dramatic around. On the one hand its' the 'pandemic' swine flu, on the other, much lighter, the Susan Boyle hype. Both will blow over eventually.

Re: This one is supposedly controlled with Tamiflu.
FEr sure, majroj, in Mexico, officials can do what is most expedient without oversight nor consultation. Everyone demands that you get the job done, so they got the job done.
Scarey. But, the flies are gone, the gringo has been brought up as responsible and the villagers have found some satisfaction in the government's shame for ignoring their complaints for years.
But, Tamilflu is dangerous too and shouldn't just be taken casually like so many Americans are going to insist this season.
But, many many more people die of regular flu than from this one, and no one panics about that, so, silly people, silly news coverage, silly mess........................

This one is supposedly controlled with Tamiflu.
Springtime is an odd time to see flu emerge.
The pig farms in Mexico were cleaned up. The public radio reporter who went there commented that there were no flies there...as in NO, zero, flies on a pig farm. I'd be worried about insecticide poisoning!
