It's kind of an interesting contrast we get from the media on this issue.
There's the big WHO pandemic alarm, broadcast every three minutes in a panic-inducing voice. Then someone asks what we should do to keep the sky from falling. And the answer is, wash your hands. You're right, it seems silly on the face of it. Are these numbers they keep repeating every ten minutes more than the world normally experiences on any old day? I kinda doubt it.
