People carry Shooters, but don't go to Shooters? OK.
Place of worship can be anywhere, but outdoors is always best. Shooters is only good for coffe and beer.

Respect? Absolutely! But I'm a little unfamiliar with your place of worship; I don't think we have a Shooters here in the states....

Pagan Festivals
There are pagan festivals at regular intervals throughout the year. Some people are struck by the coincidence of dates with Christian festivals. This is not coincidental. In fact, when Christianity arrived in Britain, the faith was up against a very deep-seated pagan belief system. So, rather than go head-to-head with it, they gradually appropriated existing pagan festivals and Christian-ized them.
The festival of this weekend just gone is explained in some detail here, with the Christian connection explained. You can also find out more about the other festivals throughout the year on that site.
Why haven't you ever been invited to one? Perhaps you move in different circles. You could always hold your own celebration and invite others. But please - with respect, yes? Paganism is not what most people think it is - the black arts, witchcraft etc. At it's core, it's a celebration of Life, the Earth, and the Cycle of the Seasons.

What Did You Say?
I'm sorry, I had trouble concentrating on your blog; the "first pagan festival of Spring" thing just stopped me cold. Firstly, I want to know what the hell a pagan festival of Spring is, and secondly, why have I never been invited to one? Sometimes there are things that set my mind dancing, and this is one of them. Please tell me it is something horribly mysterious and romantic or I will be sorely disappointed!
