That really didn't answer anything.
Unless you are saying the priests got lazy and were looking for ways to not have to do as much work.

Friend before JESUS was born in the Old Testament the elders and the priest had to make atonement for a persons sins. But when JESUS was born HE died on the cross so there could be forgiveness for ALL SINS INCLUDING YOURS. Not trying to change your mind friend but there is your answer. HAVE A GREAT EVENING SIR, AND A BETTER TOMORROW.

carol, thank you for your comments
While I do not think you presented any news ideas to me, I do respect you for stating your beliefs about such things in an open and polite manner.

Much of what you have said I have already looked at in my past blogs.  If you have the time you might go and skim some of mine from a few years ago or try to use the basic ideas as key words in the search function here to see if you can find them.

Why did Jesus need to die?

I know I probably won't change your mind but here goes anyway. Jesus did for our sins because he was perfect and no one on earth is perfect. You can search the world and never find anyone who hasn't committed one sin if they are honest. For all have sinned and fell short of the Glory of God. We all have sinned at one time or another it is in man's nature to sin. When a child is born, do we teach them to do bad? No. We have to teach them to do good. That's because if you did not teach them to do good they would naturally do things they shouldn't. Therefore it took a perfect man to die for an imperfect world. Because you can't go to heaven with sin between you and God.

Jesus died for our sins

Hi,

I disagree with your beliefs that Jesus didn't die for our sins, he did. But I agree with you on one point, if you have done something wrong to someone you should ask their forgiveness and make it right. Just because Jesus died for our sins doesn't mean we can do things to others and just say well Jesus has paid for that wrongdoing. Even though deeds we do on this earth can't get us to heaven, we still have to do good deads and ask for forgiveness to a person when we have done something wrong to them. The Bible says faith without works is dead. We can't just depend on God's forgiveness and continue in our old ways. We have to repent from our sins and do the best we can not to turn back to them. But if we in our sinful nature slip and mess up then we have to get on our knees and ask forgiveness from God. And then ask forgiveness from anyone we may have wronged.
