Comments on NOBODY HAS ANSWERED ABOUT NOT ALL CHRISTIANS ARE GOING TO HEAVEN

Xeno-x - it seems my comment was too complex for at least one person

to comprehend.

I was of course joking when I said that heaven would be comprised primarily of Americans but only in the sense that I feel any statement suggesting that someone knows the one and only true path to heaven must be considered as a joke. The simple fact remains that the belief of being born again as a necessary criteria to enter heaven, is a belief that did not exist prior to the mid 18th century. It is also a fact that the single largest group (and as accurately as we can tell, the majority) of people that have historically held this belief are Americans. . . as difficult as it may be for some people, try to connect the dots.

We can pass out crayons if that would help.

I don't "conquer God"
I question ideas about God that don't seem to hold water.

read my GOD AS THE UNIVERSE AS AN ORGANISM to see my perception of God.

Re: Re: Xeno-x and others - yeah, that's it, one must be born again - no exceptions
those are some dumb statements, RSM  -where's the "disproving God" in that post.

simple questions -- there is no "conquering god" there either -- and no conclusion at all really -- not anything about "only Americans".  Simple -- the question of who is going to Heaven.

let me you ask you this:  what if Catholics are right?  what if you and all the born-agains are not going to Heaven, but only Catholics?

and you wake up in Limbo after you die.

Re: Xeno-x and others - yeah, that's it, one must be born again - no exceptions

If only you could let me know how far the statistics, facts, logic and reasoning of your own will get you on judgement day. If only! I have a feeling that all of this will pass into the wind once you have your last breath.

Good luck with your obsession with trying to disprove God. I do not understand the daily bondage of having the need to do so. You obviously have a reason or problem with having the need to conquer God daily. Honestly, the mere conclusion that only Americans will claim residence in heaven displays a mental imbalance of some sort or you are simply joking, correct?

Xeno-x and others - yeah, that's it, one must be born again - no exceptions

Except I doubt that anyone advancing such a notion has ever stopped and considered the implications. Tracing the origins of the post protestant reformation biblical interpretation that places an emphasis on being born again to an extent as never before seen in Christian history;  . . . and considering that the movement itself is less than 3 centuries old; we can do a rudimentary extrapolation as to the breakdown of the numbers of those people that subscribe to this belief.

To get right to the point, the largest stronghold of those adhering to this belief has for a number of decades been the USA. Despite propaganda to the contrary, the rest of the world combined has never had and still does not have as many proponents of this particular belief in comparison to the USA. What this means is; if being born again is the one and only criteria to enter the pearly gates, heaven will be comprised primarily of Americans.

All Christians Going To Heaven?
I am a Baptist. It is my belief that 'one saved always saved'. However there many other belief out there including your own that are much different. I am not sure how agnostic or atheist will be viewed on judegment day but I can say that there will be a judgement day for all of us. May God bless you.

XENO..IN REGARDS TO YOUR COMMENT ON MY PAGE...

To answer you question "NO". Just because someone carries the name, Jew, or Gentile, or Catholic, DOES NOT mean they are going to Heaven. It is a matter of being BORN AGAIN. It does matter what geographical location you are in or the name you carry. Their will even be so-called "christians" in Hell. There is NO respect of persons-ONE MUST BE BORN AGAIN.

I hope I've answered you question.

Re: Posted by OTA. on April 20,
a lot of people agree with you, including me.

As an individual I don't see deciding on where anyone is going to be after they finish this round is any of my business. Judge not lest I be judged sort of thing. I wonder if you asked most Christians if they might feel the same way. I think this is why many  "Christians" and others are so put off by "organized" religion.

Having said that..

I think .. for me.. heaven and hell are now. Time is a man made thing to me. Some days I live in paradise and others my life is torment. It's all my own doing though, no one puts me there but me.

I realize this isn't exactly what you were asking, but I thought I would throw my 2 cents in.

Thanks, OTA

Xeno-x - just another item to be added to the long list of inconsistencies

The simple fact is that if there were a God as defined by all of the religions you name, he would either have to be re-defined or the beliefs of exclusive entry into heaven changed, to reconcile one with the other. An all loving God, supposedly viewing our entire species as his children (not just Americans), would either have to give all humans of all time an equal chance to enter the pearly gates, or he is no longer an all loving God.

This notion of "we are right and everyone else is damned" is not only ridiculous, it is the precursor and sometimes the justification for discrimination.
