Who you're sharing the experience with makes all the difference.
Ideally, spouses are partners and companions, not instigators, rivals or adversaries. Had your husband been a partner, I'm sure the move would have been an adventure instead of a long, traumatic tribulation for the entire family.

It certainly does not sound at all easy for you. At the very best of times it's not easy moving from one country to the other. I've tried it myself twice.
