Great post. And as you stated,

"We cannot verify that because we were not there" I agree with that completely. It is like the childs' game "operator."By the time the story gets to the last child, the story is completely different. 600 versions of the bible should say something. Besides, God gave us all FREE WILL for a reason.

Very well written and thought provoking

I think that anyone who uses their important book as justification for murder, has missed the point that their teacher tried to get across. If you just read the words of Jesus, you will learn much truth.

This has been repeatedly told to me....WHO IS THE BOSS? The reality is that that the forceful coralling of humans makes the corallers the boss. Hope is all there is. Faith is hope wrapped in the cloak of certainty. Until the CHANGE comes we shall be kept guessing!

Though I respect your thoughts here,

I notice that you mention the word HOPE a few times.  You don't mention the word Faith. 

 

Now, I ask you this. . , do you think that. ., for those who BELIEVE that God created the heavens and the Earth. ., that "this being" is somehow unable to stay atop the rather mundane task of protecting his word (the Bible)?

 

There's a very distinct difference between Hope and Faith.
