And that's the beautiful thing about intelligent people. They recognize instincts as instincts, learn how to deal with them, and function in a manner that doesn't require the growling of the Rushes of the world. I believe it's why education is so neglected by those that would rather have us living as primates than as intelligent, thinking human beings. Stupid people are so tribal, so quick to respond to anyone speaking passionately, violently, without thinking about what is actually being said, just parroting it. To use the age old cliche example, look at Hitler. Most of what he accomplished was simply accomplished by his growling at the podium, asserting himself as a male dominant leader. Or Stalin. Or any other oppressive public figure, really. Never made the connection until now, between aggression in speech and why people would be so attracted to following it, thank you~

I don;t respect Rush, etc., and yet a lot of people follow these men as if they are preaching gospel.
And yes, there are lots of matriarchal societies; however, the societies of the primates to which humans are most closely related are dominant male tribal.

This is a joke, right? Who exactly respects Rush, Newt and O'Reilly - the male chauvanist pigs! You see only patriarchal societies - but there are successful matriarchal cultures where the male is subservient to the female. How do you explain penguins, sea-horses, homosexuality in animals? These are also natural; though you chose not to highlight them. G-d is not male or female but something beyond gender. This is not what I was saying in my post at all!
