Snowview, you make me wonder if there is a day of the year when there is not someone somewhere celebrating something.    I hope not.  I love to see people happy and hearts grateful.

This is very interesting Nita.
I'll take part in these activities:  “sat sak”. The whole community takes part in feasts, music, sports and folk dances every day.

Since I never have known much about India,
I found this entry interesting.  The only festival we celebrate in the US around this time of year is "Paying our Taxes Day".  It's not quite as fun as the celebrations you've described across India at the current time.  (grin)

How wonderful Nita!
In a country so large there must be so many celebrations going on, this I understand.  I would dearly love to be at one in person (something for my wish list) many blessings and thanks for sharing

Do they ever stop celebrating something in your wonderful county? The more I read the more I become determind to visit. I'm lucky enough to have friends who own a place in Goa and spend there 6 months every year. I might take up their invitation to vists. As for my article: I'm surprised the link didn't work, but you can do the following: type in: www.brighthub.com/members/lilypond.aspx. All my articles there should come up and then you'll have to scrill down to find the one that interests you.
