Actually TAPS there won't be a next time
as she doesn't want to baby sit him again. Her friend D who went to my friend Ilanit's to learn 'how to handle him' thinks he is no problem either. He is a bit hyper but he had the flatmate who is leaving bailed up as well yesterday. He was waving a stick at her and threatening her as if it were a gun and she freaked out. I was so ashamed of what he was doing that I sent him to his room. By the same token, I am also wondering about her. See, any kid that did that to me, I would just say, "put that down right now.' However some people can not handle kids and do not know what is normal behaviour and what is actual violence.

When I smack him I do it hard enough to give him a fright but not hard enough to actually hurt him. Yesterday I got a stick that was springy but light. It probably stung a bit, just so he knows it is unpleasant and not to do it to someone else. I actually hate hitting him. But at present it is the only thing when his behaviour goes way over the top that brings him back to earth and more normal behaviour.

I am sitting here laughing because I looked back at that darling picture of Nir and tried to imagine him being that way with the babysitter and I couldn't.  I hope next time she sits him, she will have herself in hand.  I think maybe she just isn't made for childsitting.
