To clear up the issue of whether one needs to double the 'wiki' to get 'quick', here's the answer. In Hawaiian, 'wiki' means quick, and wiki-wiki means
very quick, or possibly
doubly quick (?), lol...

I couldn't help it, I had to start digging into the etymology of 'wiki', and found that it's a Hawaiian word! Here's what Ward Cunningham has to say:
"Wiki wiki is the first Hawai'ian term I learned on my first visit to the islands. The airport counter agent directed me to take the wiki wiki bus between terminals. I said what? He explained that wiki wiki meant quick. I was to find the quick bus. I did pick up a book about the language before my return home. I learned many things from this but wiki wiki is the word that sticks the most."
There's a lot more, but this will do for now. So 'wiki' is Hawaiian and means 'quick'. (Or maybe it has to be doubled, as in wiki wiki, I'm not sure.) But it makes sense for Wikipedia, doesn't it?
Oh, and thanks for the dispensation from the brevity requirement...

I didn't realized that!
I mean I knew that even I could make changes on wikipedia but I didn't recognize the word 'wiki' so that I was like, 'what's a wiki??' !

I've probably utilized it only once or twice with my son's help. Very interesting Taps...I've learned something new.

I'll reference Wikipedia more often.
