I feel my mom around alot, and my sister visits me in dreams too. I love those dreams..and the smell of my mom's perfume whenever I can feel her around. I thinks it's their way easing the pain of missing them.

Maybe she is letting you know that she is with you and watching you. As for painting......maybe she is letting you know that she is happy?
