Hmm, interesting - as always. Thought provoking - thank you.

I must admit
I frequently use the classical metaphor of love being in the heart, but for me at least it is a convenience.  I am still trying to decide if emotions are more than a combination of chemicals released by cerebral auto-responses as stimulated by the environment... I've not even started on souls yet

Science has yet not been able to establish any connection as to whether the qualities of the donor (of an organ), especially the heart, is transmitted or not to a recipient. But this is no proof at all, because science cannot deny the existence of real-life experiences, like you say a lesbian turning into a heterosexual after the transplant; it is true. That is why the other day I wrote science being 'horizontal'. The dark forces are real and they do exist, like parasites - and the devil seems to be more powerful that God himself. But going by that it will render God not all-powerful. In the Mahabharata, Duryodhan explains this beautifully to Krishna: I know full well what is evil, but have no inclination towards its nivritti (detachment). I also know what is good, but there is no propensity in me towards it attachment. Because you hrishikesa (sitting in everyone's heart) are making everyone do your Will. I loved when I read this; he, in other words, is saying to Krishna, wherefore then am I a sinner? It is an unarguable logic, probablyalso a fine example of total surrender. To continue therefore, the statement is again, unarguably one that establishes that God is all-powerful. Does He then do evil? If we replace God, not in the conception of form, but in its formless state, Energy, solely, then there can be no complaints, Power is power; it can act anyways it likes, good or bad. Vastness, or that which is omnipotent and all-pervading, can contain all. This is what we call the soul. So Soul is what contains all our bodies, our infinitesimally small bodies are engulfed in that vastness of the soul, though for generalization we say 'embodied soul', but where it is situated? nowhere, in fact, just as you would have the moon reflected in water, but it is nowhere in the water. Nor even the moon has its own light, but is the reflected light of the sun.

I agree with you,

the mind is the home of the soul,   if you think about it, your heart can get sick and kill you, but as i grow older i often make the remark to younger people, your mind does not change, you may become wiser with experience, but your mind is still the same , in your mind you are not older but the same (at least that is the way i feel).  I once heard it said that your knowledge is all that does not die, that it is the only thing that leaves with the soul and i believe this is true .

To say God is love, that i believe, to say men can love, i say they are learning to love.  So i believe to grow in God knowledge you have to practice, you have to practice love, you have to practice compassion, and all the virtues.  It cannot be attained by letting Christ or anyone else do the work.  We must do our own work, just like a child doing their homework, how would they learn if the parents did their homework for them. Only practice makes perfect, or as perfect as we can be.  No practice or relying on someone else makes us lazy and laziness is an opening for the darkside.

There was an interesting blog written about predestination or free will.  I have been days thinking about that one, and i guess it will end up being a blog of mine since my comments tend to get lengthy, lol.   Great food for thought, thank you.

Head heart wherever Dave my friend.
It is that spiritual enlightment that we know is our soul and where God dwells within us so that we can be still and bereplenished with wisdom and love ...then we can extend love to others.

You do a great job at making me think and evalute my relationship with God.

Both soul / spirit and ego / evil reside in every cell of one's...
physical body as well as throughout the causal / astral universal body...realization of this truth, and cleansing of one's physical & astral bodies through meditation, contemplation, performance of good deeds is loving one's self and higher Self...heart / brain are poetic / metaphorical references to love !

At a level I totally agree with you.  I believe that love IS love... G-d IS love... and love does not reside in the heart, or lungs, or brain... it just IS  Since our souls are  G-d himself ... they are also love... even yours 101   :-) When a poet uses "heart" to signify feeling or where it comes from... its a metaphor... is not that one believes that love is kept there... , its a symbol if you will... Evil is the absence of love... why it IS or how I don't know... but I don't think it lives in the blood pumps either... If I had to guess I would say evil is the balance of love . G-d allows it to be so that we can appreciate Love by comparison.  whatever the reason is I am sure that at the End,  love will prevail... it would be too sad if it didn't ... too pointless.  Great post

A very interesting post DAVE .. and i agree with you totally THAT

the soul reside in the mind , and your example for why is so

right , an other example for that is when some one die he still

will be able to hear who are around ...it seems i will write a

poetry , another thing yes our memory is in our cells it is in our

ears in our taste ,in our bodies and senses ,which meansit is

in our cells ..if you hear a music or you smell a scent your

memories all will be recalled .even the beautiful  or the bad

feeling of that moment will be lived again as it was ,how the

mind usually respond ??????, in case ofbody's  burn the

sensory nerves carry that to the brain to react then that

moment we feel the pain , now is there any contradiction in

what i said,i need to look back to the science, psychology and

religion and they  have all to reach one point ...will search in

quraan now about the soul ..

SO WHILE I'M REVIEWING WHAT I WROTE which usually i do

not do thought about if really the soul in the mind which i love

it to be there then how after the death still that dead one can

hear ..during death the soul will be taken by ozreal ..okkkkkkkkkk let me go connect my thoughts ...LOLL
