How can they have the answers to someone elses life......

when most of us are seeking the answers to our own.......I find asking one questions about their problems is the best way to help them find their own answers........

that is what my daughter and I am always fighting about me trying to advice her and of course she is 22 dont you know that

It is hard if they are truly well meaning..

I start out subtle and increase the volume, so to speak, until the message is received..:)..

I am of a quiet nature, so I just listen to it. Perhaps if I was brazen I would tell those people where to go and how to get there.

Look the person straight in the face and say with a disgusted expression "oeuw!...what is that hanging out of your nose?!" After a few of those, they'll keep the advice to themselves (or approach you with kleenex in their hands...LOL).

I had the same questiin today, shelly and had a somewhat "postal' moment.

Thank God, Chuck, could keep up with my texting and didn't mind me venting. lol

shelly_b, there's a lot of people like that out there..I've learned how to

"tune out", and just nod in agreement to keep them thinking I'm  listening.....
